Reading a source in kuzushiji 1 – exercise

Note: When comparing both texts take into consideration that, in the transcription, phonetic markers and punctuation were added to guide the reader for better comprehension. The use of phonetic markers such as dakuten (゛) or handakuten(゜) did not start to spread, very slowly and unevenly, until later in the 17th century. Consistent punctuation rarely appears in Japanese texts before the 19th century.

行川のながれは絶ずして、しかも本の水にあらず。
よどみにうかぶうたかたは、かつ消かつ結びて久敷とどまることなし。
